How do I get rid of my beer belly?

This question haunts just about everyone who drinks, men and women included. Not many of them know how or why they get this “beer belly”, so lets indulge ourselves and figure this one out.

The how and the why.

The reason most of us have the “beer belly” is not simply because of the beer itself, it is what the beer contains. Alone, 12 ounces of beer contains 146 empty calories. That is a lot of calories, and not a lot of beer. So if you have 2-3 beers with a dinner, not only are you adding the calories from the dinner, you are adding in another 292-438 calories, so dinner might just run you up well over 900 calories! That is almost 50% of a 2000 calorie diet.

What risks does a beer belly pose?

Having a large beer belly could lead to quite a few problems, and these problems will hurt your wallet in the long run, even more so then buying a 12 pack every weekend. It may just cost something, that no amount of money could ever fix.

1. High Blood Pressure,in some cases medicine is required to lower it, and those could cost a bit of money.

2. Myocardial infarction, a heart attack caused by inadequate blood flow to part of the heart.

3. High Cholesterol, this can lead to Vascular Diseases. Vascular diseases can cause strokes, death from ruptured aortic aneurysm, pain when walking, or leg amputation, these are some of the worst cases.

A beer gut isn’t just unappealing to look at, but it is also a serious health concern, so you looking for a way to get rid of it, is you looking for a way to save your life.

Exercises you can do?

Unfortunately for those of us who do have this beer belly, there isn’t a single workout you can use to just target your beer belly. Give up beer, or at least slow down. Also, if I were you, I would switch to light beer. Cutting out all of those calories will give your body a fighting chance at not gaining anymore weight, and also to begin losing the weight!
