Some people are more likely to get warts than others in an these instances they can even catch them form using the towel of someone who has them but any skin contact could mean they will be passed on.
Even though genital warts are like most other warts, do not cause any pain but are nonetheless highly contagious and can be contracted during any type of sexual act. Women can actually have warts on the inside of the vaginal walls and not know they have the growths.
There isn’t normally any reason to have warts removed as they don’t prove normally to be a problem but if they are the result of an incision then they can start spreading especially if picked at. Many people have warts removed as they do not look pleasant or to stop them infecting other areas but even if the warts are removed there is no guarantee they will not return. Common warts are a type of infection caused by viruses in the human papillomavirus family but there are many different types. In fact over one hundred types exist, known as human papillomavirus; some have very specific areas of attack including those that form on the genitals or anus.
Some people are more naturally resistant to the human papillomavirus viruses and don’t seem to get warts as easily as other people but for those who are more susceptible, even biting your nails can also cause warts to spread on your fingertips and around your nails. Those small cauliflower-like papules seen on people’s fingers, especially around the cuticle area are the common wart and these usually appear to have small dark specks in them which are blood vessels.
Flat warts are small, slightly elevated, flat-topped, pink or tan papules and are smoother than the common wart but they occur primarily on the face, arms, and legs, and a person can have several, even hundreds of them. Often discovered in the urethra, vagina and anus, ano-genital warts are highly contagious; they have a preference for the damp areas and can also appear skin colored but not always plus they are not always the same shape.
It is not known why but often warts will vanish on their own but in some cases this can take years. Others, however, require a little help as they are persistent and show no signs of disappearing.
